INSIDE ME
Cristina Burns’s body of work Inside Me was exhibited in the historic Bourbon Tunnel (Galleria Borbonica) in Naples, Italy, in collaboration with Visivo Comunicazione. This unique location, steeped in history, provided a powerful backdrop for the exhibition, which delves into themes of introspection and human resilience.
The Bourbon Tunnel, originally constructed for military purposes to connect the Royal Palace to nearby barracks, has served various roles throughout history. During World War II, it became a refuge, offering shelter to civilians during bombings. Its layered history and evocative atmosphere complemented the introspective nature of Burns’s work, which invites viewers to explore the depths of human emotion and the stories we carry within.
The exhibition Inside Me seamlessly merged the historical significance of the Bourbon Tunnel with Burns’s artistic vision, creating a dialogue between past and present while emphasizing the enduring strength of the human spirit.
